Google Sync Options

This dialog is available by selecting the File/Options.../Sync menu command. This feature is only available if you have installed Handy Address Book with Google Sync. Read an overview of syncing with Google and your mobile phone here.

Enable Syncing with Google	Select this option to enable syncing your address book to Google and your mobile phone. To initiate a sync operation use Actions/Sync with Google. [more info]
Google Account Login	Enter the Email and Password for your Google account
Sync Type	Select the desired syncing method. The "Overwrites" type of syncs erase all contacts on the destination platform, and transfer all contact information from the source platform. The 2 way sync combines data from both platforms, and keeps any changes made on either platform. Under the Advanced... button is an option Only Sync Google Contacts in the "My Contacts" Group. When this option is selected the sync operation ignores any contacts in your Google account that are not in the "My Contacts" group. This option is on by default, as your Google account can accumulate many contacts not in the "My Contacts" group when you reply to emails in your Gmail account. Replying to an email in Gmail automatically adds the recipient to your list of contacts, but it is not included in the "My Contacts" group. If you wish to sync all contacts, whether or not they are in the "My Contacts" group, turn off this option. When syncing your Google contacts to a smart phone, such as the iPhone, only contacts in the "My Contacts" group are synced to the phone.
Automatically Sync Every X Minutes	Enable this option to automatically synchronize periodically. To initiate a synchronization manually, use Actions/Sync with Google.
Log File	Choose the desired level of logging. This should normally be left on "Standard", as "Detailed" will cause the log file to quickly grow quite large. Press View... to view your syncing log file. The log file will be opened in your default text editor.
