Sending E-mail

Handy Address Book can send an e-mail to one or more of your addresses.

To configure your e-mail client use the File/Options.../E-mail dialog box.

There are a variety of ways to send an e-mail:

Depending on how many addresses were selected, you will have a variety of choices.  If more than one address with an e-mail is selected you will see a Send to All Selected menu item.  Choose this option to send an e-mail to all the currently selected addresses.  This will use the default e-mail address for each address.

You will also see each e-mail address listed for the top most selected address.  Select any one of these to send the e-mail to that particular address.

If the top most selected address has more than one e-mail recorded you will also see a Send To All command.  Use this option to send the e-mail to all e-mail addresses available for that address.

Advanced:

The sending method used when double clicking on an e-mail address in the Details Window uses the mailto: protocol with your Windows shell.  All other methods of sending e-mail utilize the Simple MAPI interface of any default e-mail client you have installed (Outlook, Windows Live, etc).
